About Us

Reach Out Café was initially created to allow the elderly in the community to attend coffee morning and socialise for free. Over the years the café has developed to include chair-based exercises, quizzes, lunches, and talks from external agencies.

Over time, the cafe with a focus on social activities has come into reputation. These activities are available to members in the local area. Our café club doesn’t require participants to associate with any particular society or borough – they must simply live nearby or be able to commute to the venue. Activities and exercises at the club are more varied, as they are designed to appeal to a much wider cohort of the elderly

Established in 2023, Reach Out Café (ROC) is a UK-based Community Interest Company (CIC) delivering free activities for the elderly which assure that they remain active, healthy, and connected to the community while meeting their social needs and preventing isolation. ROC is still based in Rickmansworth but also services the surrounding communities.  

The growth journey has allowed us to become one of the most diverse, inclusive, and accessible social activities company. We have moved from different centres within the community to secure a suitable centre to open once a week. ROC has been operating as a club since 2019 and it’s probably what it is best-known for. 

What we do

ROC helps by giving the elderly people an active social life which enhances their mental health, increases their cognitive functioning, eliminates loneliness and isolation, and improve their physical health. In the long term, this has the potential of even preventing some diseases.  We work to a social agenda and are committed to providing accessible community facilities for the elderly.

Our key services are free physical exercises, board games, quizzes, baking, and providing lunch once a month. People who attend enjoy meeting up with old and new friends and participate in these activities to ensure that they remain active, healthy, and connected to the community while meeting their social needs. We also enjoy coffee/Tea, a chat, and a celebration of birthdays.
